Chan Chung-Kin
Chan Chung-Kin (陳中堅) was a Hong Kong actor and director born in Dongguan, China. In 1947, he acted and worked as an assistant director on The Aged Lovers (白頭情侶), co-directed by his father, Cantonese opera and film director Chan Tin-Chung (陳天縱). In 1954, he teamed up with Tam Pak-Yip (譚伯葉) to co-direct Eighteen Marriages of a Smart Girl (好女十八嫁 ), followed by Chen Shimei, the Unfaithful Husband and Qin Xianglian (陳世美與秦香蓮). In 1956, he directed his first solo film, I'm in Love with an Unfaithful Man (莪愛薄情郎). After the decline of the Hong Kong film industry, he moved to television. His sister Chen Xiaocha (陳小茶) and older brother Chen Xiaofeng (陳笑風) are both famous Cantonese opera singers.
